TEACHING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR A NEW CURRICULAR CONCEPT

The author discusses the competence and characteristics needed in the profile of the medical professional in the light of a society that witnesses great transitions in the fields of: demography, epidemiology, technology and ecology, and the doctor-patient care model. Some teacher strategies for medical student formation are also discussed.
