Abstract

This report presents the journey of a young woman with cerebral palsy in search of recognition of her capacity to tive the experiences common to other young women her age. This student, who had been in special schools since childhood, is supported in her requests for social integration by the educational supervisor of the special school, as she makes known her wish to be a model and make a photo book, as she manifests her desire to use regular scholastic textbooks and finally as she fights for the right to study in an adult education class near her home. This report also presents the personal views of the adult education teacher and classmates on the inclusion of the new student with physical disabilities, when the educational team from the special school visited the regular night school.
