INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY AS RESOURCES FOR ACCESSIBILITY OF STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

This paper proposes a critical discussion of the concepts of globalization and culturalization at the present moment in Education in Brazil, focusing mainly on students with special needs. It describes the role of the new Lei de Diretrizes e Bases, as well as the Parämetros Curriculares Nacionais in the globalization movement, considering the educational system as a whole and the educational system with emphasis on the teaching profession. It also analyzes the role of new information and communications technology in the schools And in special education today.
