Abstract

Spirituality can be defined as a profoundly human reality, which touches our existence and is present even before any religiosity and is characteristic of a multilayered being who has multiple dimensions: physical, psychosocial, existential and spiritual, and these most often precede religious experiences. It is these aspects that allow human beings to express their deepest existential sense, where they demonstrate the ability to connect with themselves, with others, with the cosmos and with divinity, a capacity for transcendence and for integrating diversity into unity, which in this article we call ontological spirituality and which is present in many of their manifestations of existence, whether personal or in institutionalized religiosity. But all these capacities are expressed in what is essential and common to all human beings. Through a bibliographical survey, we have tried to identify the best way for intercultural dialogue that can recognize the existence of this ontological spirituality in institutional environments in education. To achieve this goal, we developed a discussion that uses the thoughts of Fidel Tubino and the considerations and concepts of alterity of Raúl Fornet-Betancourt as a guiding thread to reflect on what are the essential conditions for intercultural dialogue to be achieved in diverse  cultural
