Abstract

The purpose of this reading of the book "The World of Sophia" is to show how the author, Jostein Gaardner, travels through the
word of philosophy. giving it the structure of a novel, where the characters lead the readers to the discovery of the different
moments of the philosophic thinking. As the author deconstructs the history of philosophy to build it in the shape of a novel, he
loses the control of his characters, who escape from the book.
