HARE E OS LUWITES DA DISCRIMINABILIDADE RACIONAL ENTRE NORMAS EM CONFLITO
Abstract
In this text an attempt to reconstruct Hare's thesis stating universalisability of moral statements is made. The main point is to see in what extent the concept of universalisability provides a proper criterion for the supposed rationality that, in Hare's view. is implicit in the ordinary day-to-day moral assessment of human action. In this sense, it is argued that Hare's criterion find its limit when it has to face a situation of mutual competitivity in which "fanatical" individuaIs intend consistently to defend principles and moral ideaIs that our conscience intuitively repudiates as morally indefensabte.
