COMO CAIU O MUNDO QUE CARNAP CONSTRUIU EM 1928
Abstract
This text argues for a non-standard interpretation of Carnap’s reason to abandon his project built up in the Aufbau . It is suggested that there are reasons to believe that under new elements the reading of Aufbau would lead to a different evaluation of it as a philosophycal work. Carnap's logical construction of the world is treated from three points of view: his syntony with the mentality of his time, his intention of justifying empirical science and the formalism that results from his use of logic-mathematical instruments and its rationalistic assumptions. In the light of these three viewpoints it is explored the question of explaining why the project found its limits and produced results that led Carnap to the point of rejecting and abandoning it.
