Abstract

This work analyses the dynamics ofoperation ofthe brazilian cataloguing cooperation network BIBLIODATA, in restructuring period (1996-98) startingfrom the Vision ofthe active information 's professionals. From this analyze emerged some key pointsfor reflection: the participation ofthe informationprofessional in the services ofcooperative cataloguing; the dynamics ofoperation ofthe network BIBLIODATA and the tendency ofthe services ofcooperative cataloguing. Through the analysis of the results it is verified that BIBLIODATA could be in higher level. Little participant institutions ofthe network are responsiblefor the volume ofinformation in its content. The network 'sjob to its participants are very slow and still presents weakness which can be the main causefor the indifference ofmost oftheparticipants in its development.
