INSTITUCIONAL EVALUATION IN PRIVATE SUPERIOR EDUCATION IN THE PERCEPTION OF PROFESSORS AND COORDINATORS

The present work aims to reflect on the process of institutional evaluation of an Institution of Superior
Teaching (IES) in the interior of the State of São Paulo and to contribute for the debate on how the
institutional evaluation is perceived by professors and coordinators of courses in the scope of private superior education. This work has been carried out by means of documentary research. The project of institutional evaluation, reports and documents of the Internal Commission of Institutional Evaluation had been considered as research sources - CIAI, the Plan of Continued Evaluation - the CAP and the catalogue of the studied IES. It was observed that the process of institutional evaluation is used as instrument for discussion, reflection and possibility of improvement of the quality of education.
