AN ETHICAL APPROACH ON THE VALUE OF EDUCATING

This work points out the values that constitute the transforming human action in the world, and
emphasizes the range of both moral practice and ethical reflection. It proposes a reflection on the
presence of moral values in the action of educators as well as the need of an ethical focus on education
Taking into account the characteristics of modern society, it discusses some attitudes taken over by
the teachers facing peculiar situations of an education “crisis”, and calls the attention to the urgency
of searching for a consistent answer to the question about what life one wants to build with the
contribution of an educational work.
