Abstract

This work aims to present a method of teaching applied in Electric Engineering College of PUCCampinas, SP, in the Professional Ethical discipline, denominated “Simulation of Indiscreet Events”. The simulation herein mentioned is understood as a reproduction or representation of a process, in which positions and decisions are demanded, simulating a real situation in a work environment. The “indiscreet” adjective refers to the space where the “Ethical” subject should be revealed to generate opportunity for reflection and positioning. Assuming the presupposition that the process of knowledge is not limited to thinking, reasoning, and measuring, but it involves perception, emotion and action, the method explores the simulation of situations where behavior is a questionable issue, upon references of Morals and Ethics, previously stated by the teacher. As a result, the student is urged to go beyond simple definitions and predictable answers programmed to comply with traditional evaluations only; he is fostered to look for sense and meaning of the reality, for best appropriation
of it.
