FRACTAL ARCHITECTURE CONTRIBUTION TO CAAD TEACHING

An area of mathematics that studies complex objects is the fractal geometry. Fractals are
objects created in order to describe natural forms. After the creation of the fractal concepts some architects started to use these parameters to develop forms. We bring a unique experience on that subject managing the link between architecture and fractal and looking for shape creation. The challenge of teach computer‑aided architectural design addressing fractal geometry has been further stimulated by creating a completely new content for a virtual learning environment. This paper deals with these issues by diffusing fractal concepts to young architects and the distance learning for architecture students.
