A quantitative and qualitative approach to meaning in life evaluation

O objetivo do estudo foi validar a Escala de Avaliação de Sentido de Vida ao contexto brasileiro. Participaram 423 adultos brasileiros, com idades entre 18 e 65 anos. Os instrumentos incluíram o Questionário de Significado na Vida, a Escala de Esperança Disposicional de Snyder e o Inventário de Pensamentos Ansiosos. Os resultados mostraram que o instrumento tem uma boa consistência interna (0,879), e se correlaciona significativamente com as outras medidas. A análise de cluster mostrou que as áreas mais citadas foram a da família e do trabalho, enquanto as menos citadas foram o interesse em arte e o hedonismo. São discutidos possíveis usos do instrumento em ambientes educacionais, clínicos e hospitalar.
