Resumen
A Alimentação e suas perturbações é um tema abordado em quatro artigos. Este é o primeiro da série e introduz o tema da anorexia mental e suas abordagens. A partir do desenvolvimento histórico dos estudos sobre a anorexia, apresentam-se os aspectos epidemiológicos desta disfunção, discute-se o diagnóstico diferencial e discorre-se sobre as diferentes abordagens teóricas e de tratamento da anorexia mental.
