Abstract
Eating desorders is the subject of four articles. This first article of the series introduces the subject of anorexia mental and presents several approaches to it. We begin with the developmental history of the study of anorexia, presenting the epidemiological aspects. Differential diagnosis is discussed along with theorical and therapeutic approaches used.
