Resumen

Estuda as pesquisas arroladas no Annual Summary of lnvestigations Relating to Reading (1989/1994) para conhecer o espaço de cada subcategoria apresentada na área da Fisiologia e Psicologia da Leitura, isto é, a maioria dos estudos relatados no ASIRR, com especial atenção para a subcategoria Fatores Socioculturais e Leitura. As maiores subdivisões são: Pesquisa sobre Compreensão e Experimentos em Aprendizagem. Na subcategoria Fatores Socioculturais, mais freqüentemente as crianças são os sujeitos, o delineamento quase-experimental é o predominante e o ambiente sociocultural da família da criança destaca-se significantemente, especialmente o envolvimento dos pais.
