AS HIPÓTESES FILOGENÉTICAS E ONTOGENÉTlCAS DE FREUD E A GÊNESE DA CULTURA.
Abstract
This article intends to present Freud's philogenetic hypothesis, which has been particularly developed in his essay Totem and Taboo (1912-3), as a metapsychological contribution and not as an historical-empiric work on Anthropology. We believe that the myth of parricide must be understood as a meta-theoretical contribution, that Freud uses to elucidate the act that first institutes desire: the interdiction. The latter, on the other hand, would constitute the foundation of western culture, morality and religion.
