Abstract
A psycholinguistic analysls was made of the titles of 94 master theses presented to PUCCAMP (1975-1987). The theses were divided into three theoretical groups: behavioral, psychoanalytic and other. The titles were analyzed for their dominant psycholinguistic dimensions, in terms of "knowing", "power" and "making", and combinations of these three. The titles in the behavioral group showed a tendency toward "making" as the dominant theme; those in the other two groups, toward "power". Taken as one group, the titles showed a tendency toward the structure "knowing-power-making”.
