ASPECTOS PSICOLÓGICOS DA RELAÇÃO MÉDICO-PACIENTE COM CÂNCER.
Abstract
This paper analyses some of the aspects of the physician patient relationshlp, ln the speclal cases of patients who 8uffer from cancer. The appropriate "fittings" between doctor and patient are vieweddin terms of transference and counter transference. Communication and the right moment to reveal to the patient information on his condition are discussed, as well as research data obtainned in this area by physicians in Campinas are presented. The role of the mental health professional and how be can help to imptove the physician patient relationship are discussed.
