Viabilidade da cria de rainhas de Apis mellifera L. (Hymenoptera, Apidae) e longevidade das operárias
Resumen
Analisou-se, comparativamente, a viabilidade dos ovos de rainhas africanizadas e italianas acasaladas naturalmente na região de Rio Claro (SP), e a longevidade das operárias descendentes dessas rainhas. Os resultados demonstraram que há diferença entre a porcentagem de sobrevivência da cria africanizada e da italiana para o estágio de ovo, larva, pupa e para o total de adultos emergidos em relação ao número de ovos. Em relação a longevidade, tem-se que as operárias filhas de rainhas africanizadas vivem em média 20,96 dias enquanto que as operárias filhas de rainhas italianas 23,15 dias.
