The urban question and the regional planning in Lebret’s groups in Brazil

The discussion about the legacy of Louis‑Joseph Lebret, a French Dominican reli‑gious and founder of Economics and Humanism, highlights the work of the orga‑nizations linked to him, exposing their engagement with the themes of economic, social, and human development. In Brazil, it is possible to verify Lebret’s contribution through the work of Society for Graphical and Mecanographical Analysis Applied to Socials Complexes in the 1950s and beginning of the 1960s, in experiences related to urban and regional planning. Thus, this paper seeks to present, within the current ideas on Lebret ‘s legacy, the Dominican’ s engagement with urban issues and regional planning in Brazil.
