A cartografia do turismo rural em Joinville, Santa Catarina: metodologia de elaboração, cadastro técnico e geoinformação

Knowledge regarding the information of territory richness in the rural municipality of
Joinville is still undeveloped, which makes it impossible, for example, to obtain graphic,
descriptive and tabular information of the countryside, containing all georeferenced
elements to build detailed knowledge of the physical and spatial aspects and potential
of tourism. In this sense, the challenge for planning the sector lies in using the geoinformation
when making decisions related to the management of tourism in rural areas to
strengthen tourism in Joinville. The aim of the study was to conduct a physical-spatial
description of Pirai watershed by means of the application of technical registration and
geographical information system in a sample area in the rural area of Joinville. This
paper dealt with the data from the aerial photogrammetric restitution of 2010, provided
by the city of Joinville on the outskirts of the Pirai river watershed. The methods used
were geoprocessing of vector and tabular data, aerial photo-interpretation, using tools
such as the Technical Cadastre and Geographical Information System, which were
presented in ArcGis 10. The result of the study was thematic maps of three properties
with tourism potential. It was concluded that the Technical Cadastre, the potential of
Geographical Information System and high resolution images are essential for tourism
planning as they may assist public management decision making.
