Adherence to treatment in light and moderate hypertense patients
Keywords:

In hypertension cases, a common observation is made about patients that don't strictly follow medicine prescriptions, due to very negative effects of anti-depressants. The adherence to related psychological treatments is also weak. The present work aims at comparison between the effects of two non-medical procedures in 74 hypertense patients. After the organization of two groups, in addition to the medical routine treatment gIven to both, they were submitted to twelve fortnight sessions: of participative education for the control group, and of specialized training in stress control, for the experimental group. Adherence in both groups was very high: 100% in the control group and 94% in the experimental group. The conclusion, in such case, is that the participative education proved to be as efficient as the stress control training.
