O INVENTÁRIO SHEPPARD PARA MEDIDA DE ATITUDES EM RELAÇÃO À VELHICE E SUA ADAPTAÇÃO PARA O PORTUGUÊS
Abstract
This paper describes the applitatioh of a group of content validation procedures to Sheppard's Inventatory of Attitudes Toward Aging, adressed to adolecents andyoung adults (Sheppard" 1980/. The adopted procedutes were: 1) Test - retest of the English and Brazilian forms of the Inventory, with 20 bilingual subjects; 2) Test-retest of the Brazilian form with 50 College Brazilian studepts; 3) correlation calculous between Sheppard's Inventory and a Semantic Differential' Scale, assessing the concept "TfJe Aged Person Is...", with 30 students; 4) facial logic content analysis in relation to items dimensionality and polarity, with 20 and 95 judges respectively. The results showed correspohdence between the originar form of Sheppard's lnventory and its translation to Portuguese.
