Abstract

This study presents a literature review of the main studies on short term memory. lt starts by describing the early studies of short term memory, and then goes on to describe the empírical evidence in favour or against the Multi-Store approach to short term memory. The third part describes Baddeley's Working Memory Model and its implications to cognitive psychology studies.
