A compreensão da memória segundo diferentes perspectivas teóricas

O presente trabalho visa oferecer aos acadêmicos e profissionais da área uma revisão dos principais achados sobre a memória no último século. Apresentaremos, inicialmente, uma revisão histórica sobre o estudo da memória, trazendo os avanços mais significativos alcançados e a importância destes avanços para os estudos atuais nesta área. Serão abordados, igualmente, os principais modelos explicativos de memória, suas principais contribuições e limitações, desde o Modelo Espacial, passando pelo Modelo da Teoria dos Esquemas, o Modelo dos Dois Processos, o Modelo da Especificidade de Codificação, até o Modelo de Mandler e o Modelo da Teoria do Traço Difuso. Concluiremos o presente trabalho traçando um paralelo entre as diferentes teorias explicativas da memória, ressaltando suas contribuições e as principais perguntas que impulsionam a continuidade das pesquisas na área.
