Ocorrência de juvenis de Serranidae nas regiões Sudeste e Sul do Brasil

Juvenis de Serranidae de 21 espécies foram coletados no Sudeste e no Sul do Brasil por diversos meios, desde coletas em estômagos de grandes peixes pelágicos capturados com espinhel até coletas com rede manual na beira da praia. Jovens e adultos foram utilizados para comparação na identificação. A presença de juvenis em estômagos de atuns e afins é um indicador das estratégias de algumas espécies costeiras de Serranidae em utilizar as águas tropicais da Corrente do Brasil como berçário, enquanto outras foram encontradas em estuários.
