GIAMBATISTTA VICO

Abstract

This paper aims to evaluate the trajectory of Giambatistta Vico, philosopher and jurist, based upon his two works De Uno and Scienza Nuova. This latter one promotes the study of humanities to scientific level. De Uno express the author’s particular position about modern theory of natural right, whereas in Scienza Nuova Vico stands out Jusnaturalism in its strategic and historical aspect. The dialogue between these two works allows a deeper understanding of Vico’s juridical thought.
