Resumo

Para Sócrates, só através da aplicação generalizada de uma arquitetura de viver podem os homens, construindo a si mesmos, construir uma sociedade melhor. O governante socrático deverá ser capaz de se auto-examinar continuamente, pois só se tornando mais racional e melhor poderá ele constatar a irracionalidade das leis e dos costumes, da mesma forma que um construtor (nas palavras de Sócrates), antes de construir seja o que for, deve estar ciente de que possui a techne própria para a tarefa.
